Stable, powder-coated steel rods form the structure of the Perimeter Floor Lamp's base, and the color does more than just encompass the lamp - it brings an entirely new, fresh character to idea of a lamp in the first place.

Color combined with stability. The Perimeter Lamp's one of those lamps that's not going to hide in the corner - it's 18" in diameter, which means that at some point, your kid will run into it. The good news is that it's a really stable contraption. And, it's cheerily bright, so perhaps the color will warn the little critter off before the lamp gets bumped.
